William Roentgen

March 27, 1845- February 10, 1923

He was educated at the University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, and the Institute of Martinus Herman van Doorn.
Roentgen discovered the x-ray using cathode-ray tubes. 

He won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901.
